英検１級二次試験スピーチサンプル14「男女平等の社会は到来するか？」その2

「英検1級二次試験に一発合格したMBAホルダーが公開するスピーチサンプルシリーズ」です。

今回のお題はこれです。

Will society be free of gender bias?
（男女平等の社会は到来するか？）

前回はこの質問に「Yes」と主張しました。今回は「No」と主張するスピーチを作ります。

「男女平等の社会は来ない」と主張するのは難しいですが、「生物学的に男女は違うよね。」という所から責めるのが得策です。これには誰も反論しにくいでしょう。

それではスピーチを書いてみます。

I do not think that society will be free of gender bias, because men and women are biologically different from each other. Thus, roles of men and women in society should be different. Let me show you some examples.

As the first example, who can breast feed babies? Only mother can do it. Fathers never be able to breast feed babies, no matter how much fathers love babies. Breast feed is one of important role that only women can take. We should not ignore such gender difference.

On the other hand, there are a lot of works that only men can do, or men can do better than women. For example, men have stronger muscle powers, thus men are better at physical works such as lumber industry, moving companies, agriculture industry and so forth.

While men are better at doing something than women, women are better at some other things than men. We should understand the difference of men and women and share the roles in the society efficiently and effectively.

正直まったく満足できるできではないですが、恥を忍んで公開します。いずれ英語力を上げてこのスピーチをリバイスしたいと思います。
